Our auction item this week is a high-gloss stainless Ruger Vaquero® 45 COLT caliber single-action revolver. Ruger's records reflect this revolver was roll marked September 14, 2012. The revolver is a sales sample, was never sold and has not been fired beyond normal factory test firing. This revolver has a traditional western-style, hand-filling grip with birdshead black/brown laminate grip panels and Ruger eagle logo medallions inlaid in the grips. Other features include a 3-3/4-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with blade front and integral rear sights. The 6-round cylinder is chambered in 45 COLT. The revolver has been stored in its original gray plastic handgun case along with an original instruction manual, marketing materials, and locking device and is being sold "as is."
This week’s auction item is a Ruger® M77® Mark II Magnum rifle in .416 Rigby. This model M77 Mark II Magnum Rifle was first introduced in Ruger's 1991 firearms catalog. Ruger's records reflect this rifle was roll marked August 9, 1989. The rifle was previously sold in 1989 and returned to the factory that same year. There are no notes as to why it was returned. This rifle features a 24-inch blued barrel with matted quarter rib and is factory machined to accommodate Ruger scope rings. It has a blade front sight and v-notch rear express sights: one stationary and two folding that are drift adjustable for windage. Other features include an ebony forend tip and black rubber recoil pad with embossed Ruger eagle logo. The steel pistol grip cap also features the Ruger® eagle logo. The M77 Magnum rifle has a steel hinged floorplate and trigger guard with a staggered box magazine that holds three cartridges. The Circassian walnut stock is cut-checkered on the pistol grip and forend. There are sling swivel studs attached to the forend and buttstock. The rifle has been stored in its original rifle box along with the original scope rings, and locking device.
